Ok so whilst building mailGuu I came across a problem that baffled me for a while; how do I create a 3 bucket layout and make the entire bucket and all its content a clickable link? Well the answer was relatively simple as most of them are.
The main problem is with IE6 and IE7 in that they don’t like block A tags with nothing in them. and so don’t grow vertically even when you give them some height. The solution is elegantly simple, add a transparent GIF to your A tag using a CSS background property and your A tag can grow to the size you set.
