  • What is a CMS? - Content Management System.   • What is Web Design?. Web Design is a process involving different procedures with the ultimate goal being a fully functional website. At Bluebit Web Design we take into consideration many different factors when designing websites. These would include but not be limited to:

  • What is a Domain Name?. A domain name is quite simply a recognisable alternative name for a specific IP address that would be pointing to a website or other online service. It allows your site or service to be found easily by allowing the user to type in a meaningful name rather than a series of numbers.

  • What is Web Hosting?. A web hosting service is a type of Internet hosting service that allows individuals and organizations to provide their own website accessible via the World Wide Web. Web hosts are companies that provide space on a server they own for use by their clients as well as providing Internet connectivity, typically in a data centre. www.wikipedia.org

  • What is POP3? - Post Office Protocol. In computing, the Post Office Protocol version 3 (POP3) is an application-layer Internet standard protocol used by local e-mail clients to retrieve e-mail from a remote server over a TCP/IP connection. POP3 and IMAP4 (Internet Message Access Protocol) are the two most prevalent Internet standard protocols for e-mail retrieval.
